Red Onion

This is my entry for
Redness Wednesday. Although the color is somewhat purplish, they actually call it Red Onions! This is one of my favorite rice companion. I just sliced pork and marinate it with soy sauce, vinegar, olive oil, crushed red pepper and a little sugar for 30 minutes to an hour and fry it in hot oil in wok and then add minced garlic and sliced red onions until crisp and done! I will post the recipe in my abandoned Delish Blog when I am not lazy to update it lol. I have a lot of pictures taken while cooking but too lazy to update my other blogs:(. Anyway this is it for Redness Wednesday!

Yum yum! Nakakatakam!
When I was in Philippines, we only used this red onion but after I moved to Italy and now in Holland, I used the lighter one… they seem so strong to me now, unlike the lighter ones that are milder… but naturally that red onion does taste good. Smeels great as well!

@Webbielady, really? I think the yellow and the white onions are stronger than the red. I usually used red onions with dishes like this and also as a topping for hot-dogs or bratwurst and for my soy sauce and vinegar dipping sauce:)
