Field Trip
Being a volunteer at school has perks, one of them is that you get to go to Field trips and learn something along with the students. Last Thursday, we went to Downtown Lincoln along with all the 3rd grade students. Sure it was pretty chilly to be outside but it was also a fun day to know some history of the place. We went to the oldest houses in Nebraska, we went inside of Ferguson House, we went outside of the Yates house , we went inside of the Kennard house, inside the Capitol building and inside the Governor’s Mansion. The day was filled with amazement, learning and fun. After looking at the places, we went walking around downtown. It’s really nice to wander around and be a tourist in your own city and I would like to go back and bring my family with me next time to appreciate Lincoln more but I have to wait til after winter time.
