Generous
My son was invited to his classmate’s 8th Birthday. When he received the invitation he asked me to take him to a store to buy a birthday present for his girl classmate. So we shopped around a little bit and we end up going to the Hobby store and he found these things to give her. After paying for all the stuff, he then turned to me and asked me to take him to another store to buy her more present! I told him that what he got her was enough especially for a girl whose only 8! I then turned to my husband and I told him that my son’s generosity got it from me! Seriously, I’m not trying to make my husband look bad but he is bad in giving presents and when I have $$ to spend I do blow it in buying presents. I’m glad that my son got something from me and for that trait his future wife will be thankful and happy!
Anyway, I know it’s still months away but I am trying to convince my husband about going somewhere this year. We already plan about going to Tennessee and that is always our destination but I do also want to take my kids somewhere else. Don’t get me wrong I like going to Tennessee but my kids talked about how they want to see big buildings like the new york hotels they saw on TV, they want to go to the Empire State Building,they also want to visit Washington DC, they want to see the White House and also they want to visit New York and see the Big Apple! I am hoping that he can take at least 3 weeks of vacation and that we can go to 3 different places this year! we are definitely crossing our fingers!

Irritating
As much as I don’t want to complain anymore, I just can’t help blabbing about our weather here! It has been a bad winter in Nebraska. I’m sure you heard about how many people died due to our blizzard/snow storm! Not only that, it causes a lot of wrecks. I am glad that the school districts, churches and other businesses are more considerate this time to close or cancel business when the weather gets real bad. So tomorrow there’s no class for my kids again and I am very glad that I don’t have to drive in slippery and snowing road! I don’t want to risk our lives driving in bad weather.
Anyway, I am a little bit sad that we won’t be able to to to the Philippines this year for our vacation. I really wanted to attend the 30th celebration of Sinulog. I bet this year is the biggest celebration ever! I don’t really know when can we go visit Cebu again but of course it will take time and money to go. There will be 5 of us going so we need to save serious money because aside from the air fare and expenses, we have to buy some present to bring. I think I will just have to send the packages before we even go because I don’t feel like carrying my kids and dragging big boxes at the same time! I know what they want me to send. My uncle would love to have a Dutch Master cigars, My dad would love to have his favorite coffee and most of my relatives and friends would like to have beauty and food products.I really wished that we can go this year but maybe next year we can go if we have enough saved.
