Going Away

My friend Ofelia will be visiting her family in the Philippines I think a month from now. I have to admit I am a little jealous because it’s been 4 years since I went and it wasn’t a vacation either it was more about business and getting my son to come with us. I don’t know when we’ll be going back to visit because it will take us a while to save some $$ for airline tickets, hotel fees and other expenses. Plus, I have to save some more $$ for gifts like a box of arturo fuente cigars for my Tito Boy and my dad. A pair of running shoes for my brother, a perfume for my sister in law and of course something for their baby too. See? it is very expensive to visit my family back home but anyway, we will try to save some money and to go on a real vacation next time!

I missed last Saturday’s meme coz we needed to do something that weekend and I am really trying to update more in my blog but it is impossible sometimes to get online since I have a lot of things line up at home and with my family. Anyway, let’s do this Saturday’s meme.

**** Saturday 9: Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong****

1. Who was the last person you dealt with that felt that they could never be wrong?
*I know one and she sometimes annoy the crap out of me but I won’t tell her name though she’s pretty sensitive and I don’t like to deal with her if she finds out that I was talking about her lol.

2. Tell us about one person who is the most like you.
*Probably my best friend in the Philippines Jo. We rarely argue and when we think about something we usually agree on it. I don’t know about now, since we have different priorities now and it’s been 11 years since we’ve seen each other.

3. What is something you really want right now?
* I really want my throat to feel a 100% it is really bothering me.

4. What are you doing this weekend?
*Get my chores done as much and as fast as I can.

5. Are you in a good mood? If yes, Why?
*Probably I’ll say I’m in neutral mood. Just feeling fine.

6. Do you have an ex that you are pretty sure thinks about you a lot?
*I could care less really and I don’t even want to know or think about it! Not worth thinking about!.

7. What’s one thing you wish you could do but can’t?
*I do wish that I can visit my friends in California. I heard that Nanay’s husband is dealing with Mesothelioma related cancer and it would be nice to see them both and to show support.

8. What’s one trait you hate in a person?
* A lying Braggart…

9. What’s one thing you like to do alone?
* Sleep alone! I know it kinda sounds bad but I sleep better when I am sleeping alone!

Been a while

I have been busy since the kids just started going back to school and I was able to sub in different schools for the past week. I am glad that it is weekend and I am able to do my chores because they are long overdue and it is needed to be done. My only complaint for today is that my throat is hurting and it would be nice if it will start to feel better. I told my kids to never drink after me coz I don’t want them to be sick. I am somewhat thankful that we have bottled waters so they have their individual bottles to drink but I would feel better if we just purchase a water filter instead of buying bottled water which can get very expensive in a long run!

Oh today men and the kids went to Sears Portrait and have their pictures done! My son Shaun got a free 10×8 portrait last weekend and I ended up paying a membership that allows us to get free portrait once a week for the whole year! That is a lot of picture taking for the whole year but I thought it was cheap enough and the kids enjoyed taking a pose especially my son Ethan. So I guess we will have a lot of pictures to hang in our wall this year! Anyway, gtg and get my lunch!

School time is coming really close and I am very excited for my kids especially for my youngest since she will be in Kindergarten this year. She had fun in preschool but Kindergarten is the core program so she will have tons of activities to do , learn many things and meet new friends! It’s a bummer we didn’t go to many places last summer, I meant we went to nice places such as the Ripley’s Aquarium, Knoxville Zoo, The Big Black Bear Jamboree Dinner & Show, we went swimming and all but I really really wished that I could have bought some Taylor Swift tickets and go to see her favorite singer perform! She loves Taylor Swift, she sings her songs every time it’s on the radio or when she listens in her mp3. Someday when she’s coming here in NE, I will definitely get some tickets to treat my princess! For now, I will take her to get her pedicure and manicure the day before school and she’s looking forward to get her nails designed. Oh, in preparing for school this year, we started going back to sleep at the normal hours and although they are struggling (since they got used to staying up really late) we have to keep practicing because school starts after next week so I have to be firm in going back to sleep routine. Oh here’s my entry for the S9 meme!

1. How many of your friendships have lasted more than ten years? Which of your current friends do you feel will still be important to you ten years from now?
* Many of my friendship lasted 10 years or over even though most of them are far away but we still keep in touch. It’s hard to choose whose more important than others coz they are all my friends!

2. When you look at yourself in the mirror, what’s the first thing you look at?
*My face lol

3. Who was the most recent person on your missed call list on your cell phone? What’s your relationship with the person?
*Some odd number I have no idea who it was. That’s why I didn’t answer.

4. What did your last text message you received on your cell phone say?
*What’s for Dinner? R u going to make something with hamburger tonight? Luv u all.

5. How would you “label” yourself?
* A wife and a mom!

6. What was your favorite age that you’ve been?
*Probably 20 coz I felt I was finally maturing!

7. What is your current desk top picture? What’s it significant?
* Palm Tree near the beach.. Tranquility!

8. What was the last thing you said to someone that you‘d like to take back?
* Leech!

9. If you had to choose between a million bucks or to be able to go back in time and fix all your mistakes which would you choose?
* I’d take the million bucks any day! I learned something from my past and that made me who I am today. I rather live today and prepare for tomorrow and spend my lifetime with my husband and kids who made me happier ever than I had in my past!

My kids sometimes cracked me up. They came to me one day and told me that to let everyone know that they doesn’t want anything silly for Christmas. They only want money to buy them each a new DSi, seriously. They said that they will enjoy toys but it has to be something educational or fun other than that they wouldn’t want anything that they will end up throwing away in a day or two. They also told me that not to say that “whatever Santa gives” preach because they said, they already know that we were the ones who brought them toys with a toy’s store price tag attached on the back of their gifts. I have to admit we messed up but, what can I say? My kids were with 24/7 and it’s hard to go shopping and packed without them noticing. Just can’t hide anything from them anymore especially now that they are growing faster than I expected. Sometimes I wish they were babies.

I was very glad that the weather was nice today. It got very hot for a couple of weeks and it was just not comfortable to be out when the sun is that hot. Today, I cleared the flower bed to make it ready for planting tomorrow. I had a vision on what the flower bed would look like after the planting and hopefully it will look as inviting as what I imagined. While thinking about flowers awhile ago, I thought of the perfect gift that I will send to my aunt who loves gardening. I found a perfect yellow rose planter that I could send through easy birthday gift delivery. I know that she will love the radiant colors of the beautiful planter and she loves gardening so it’s perfect for her especially that she lives in San Diego so it’ll be pretty all year round!. I used to tend my aunt’s garden although not a green thumb but she taught me how to take care of plant and now that i am starting my own, I am going to try my hardest to keep the flower bed full of radiant and beautiful flowers that screams cute curb appeal. (hm, let’s see how long it’ll last!)

1. Is there anything that you tend to do to cheer up when you are having a bad day?
I looked at the dazzling diamonds at wholesale diamonds. Seriously, I watched funny movies, the one that cracks me up the most! (The Hang-over or I hope they served beer in hell)

2.What’s the last card game you played, and with whom did you play?
It’s a card game even though it’s online poker so it was yesterday with some people I don’t know!

3.What’s the last board game you played, and with whom did you play?
Wednesday, my husband , I and our kids played monopoly.

4.What’s the last computer game you played, and with whom did you play?
Today, Maple Story with my son.

5.Is there somewhere you’d like to visit but have not, and where is it?
Florence, Italy!

6.Think of your favorite movie (or a movie you really like, if you can’t think of a favorite). Some people say that the reasons you love your favorite movie are related to what you value in romantic relationships. How is this true or untrue in your case?
It is somewhat true I guess. I am a basket-case when it comes to love conquers all!

Good-looking faces maybe.

5-Me, my loving husband , my 3 kids one 6th grader, one 3rd grader and one kindergartner.

Yes I did when I was a kid probably 7 or 8!

Bathing

Ever since we got back from vacation my kids had been a fan of bathing! I let them have some fun with the bubbles and jets but I only let them soaked for 30 minutes because prolonged bathing with bubbles can hurt them..well according to what I read and heard. Anyway, this year we are going to be tight when it comes to our budget since we will be needing new AC Unit and a new soffit and fascia.So we need to stop eating out!! We kept saying it but we never applied what we preached but we need to stop it though, we still have our regular monthly bills except for an additional payments for our new car, we have our car insurance, high risk life insurance but the good news is that my car is going to be paid off in 2 more payments so the payments for that will be going to our new car.There’s just too many bills but what can I say huh? Everybody does.. we cannot live without debt and thinking about debts makes me wanna give my self some relaxation to avoid stress. I gotta go give me some aroma therapy bath!

Preparing

It’s almost August and we are on schedule to prepare for another school year! We did some of our school shopping but we still have to do more especially for Shaun since he will be in Middle School this year and no more free school supplies so we have to get the list from his new school and start shopping for his school supplies. Elena will be in Kindergarten this year so we also need to buy her a new backpack that she will use for years to come and same thing for Ethan but we also need to get him some new pants too. As for me, I am going to start a new exercise routines, I have read weight loss success stories and I think I need to be getting on board with that to help me get ready back to work! I miss going to work already but before that, I need to clean my house and have it clutter free because we all know that when we are working we tend to miss a lot of house chores since we get so tired after work and I just want to have my house clean before going back to work! Anyway I am excited for next month already!

Too Sweet

My kids had been asking me to bake them a cake and I finally made them one a while ago but as much as they like what I baked, I didn’t care for it! I only took one bite and I couldn’t eat my piece coz it’s too sweet for me! I started to think that they only said it’s good coz they don’t want me to feel bad but they eat more than 1 piece so probably they really liked it still… I.. the baker doesn’t care about the cake I baked! I haven’t been eating a lot lately and believed me I am not taking anything like lipozene (even though I wanted to) but I noticed lately that my tastes has changed. Any food that I enjoyed all my life and what I thought was good is no longer desirable to me. I see this as a good thing but a bad thing also! It might help me to chop off excess weight but I don’t like loosing somethings that I like! Plus change… only causes problems!
