I may not be an Irish but it’s St. Patty’s Day which means everybody is Irish today and I do hope for a very good luck today. Please make me lucky pretty please!! Lord knows I need all the luck I can get to stick into my diet. I was doing good a couple of weeks but lately I caught myself eating steak and chicken and it’s not very good! NO I am not trying to be a vegetarian, I simply have to turn to fish and vegetables diet. I can eat meat still though but I am trying to limit it and I said goodbye to sweet stuff forever!! I am actually doing great in avoiding sodas and sweet treats, although there are many temptations but I had to tell myself it’s not good in my glucose.
In the past few days I have been at school helping Shaun’s former teacher with couple of her students to review for their CRT. I will have to do it until the end of this week and I also need to call a lot of parents to volunteer and donate for the upcoming fun night on April.

I am looking for the end of the school for 2 main reasons: Going on a Vacation and the Contractors are going to finally work on my bathroom upstairs! Yes It’s not done yet but it will definitely be done this year! Oh I am also thinking about getting a part time job! I have been doing job search online to see if I can get a job in Public School. I do want to work in my kids school but I just don’t think I can choose where I wan to work. I am glad that this year has been productive so far and I do hope that it will get better:D

Last Sunday I was checking my e-mails and logged into the networking sites and even browsed about pleasanton motorcycle accident attorney until my husband asked me to get off the computer because he was on his way home from work and he wanted to watch a movie with me that we have at home. We watched Saving Private Ryan and it is one of the best movie ever made! I don’t even care if you will agree with me or not but it is! I love this movie so much and watched it countless times and I definitely will watch again in the future. It is a war movie and it has its gruesome scene but one of the best war movies ever! Tom hanks, Barry Pepper, Ed Burns, Vin Diesel, Tom Sizemore, Adam Goldberg, Giovanni Ribisi, Jeremy Davies, Paul Giamatti and Matt Damon did a very good job on this movie. I really hated Jeremy Davies’ character Upham in this movie and I love the scene with Paul Giamatti knocking off the wall un-purposely and exposing the German soldiers hideout and the scene with Tom Sizemore with another German soldier who threw a helmet at each other when they ran out of bullet lol. The saddest scenes for me were when Giovanni Ribisi talking about his mom while copying Vin Diesel’s letter for his dad and when he died calling out for his mom, Vin Diesel died while holding the French girl, Tom Hanks died and the scene where Matt Damon’s mom was visited by military people informing her about her 3 dead sons. There is too much drama in this movie balances the gruesome action in war and it makes you think about our men and women who are in war at this moment who some won’t be able to go back home and makes you sad on how many moms have received the bad news and how heartbroken they are knowing that they will never see their sons/daughter again:( I wish that they this war will end so that the soldiers will come back home safely to reunite with their families.

Where’s Spring

I am wondering when is Spring going to come because I am getting tired of this very cold weather! Last Thursday we had snow all over the ground and a very bad sleet that lasted all day! I’ll be wishing upon a star to give me some kind of a miracle that would either see the Spring sooner or some good luck that can make me afford to move somewhere where you cannot see a drop of snow!

Anyway, last Thursday we went to a couple of stores with hubby and I had fun looking at the would -be bride & groom selecting their want to gift for their wedding registry. Most of the women are holding the scanning products and it looks like they are using a Symbol LS2208 barcode scanner. I was just so fun to watching them too busy choosing what they want and need while the guys just walking behind them. Ladies always have that control what they want to see in their house. I never signed up for any gift registry, some people think it’s a snob move but some thinks that it’s a practical move so they would get what they want without worrying about getting the same gifts from different guests.

Sore Throat

I think I am about to get sick and I know where I got this from and this came from the bad weather condition that made my daughter sick and she passed it to me. I hate getting sick because I am the one that is supposed to take care of my kids and being sick is a big barrier to that responsibility.I started drinking a ginger broth this morning and hopefully it will help my condition.

Oh yeah I forgot to grab my camera to upload the pictures of my new bed! I will post it sometime this week ! The storage in our bed really helped but we still need to add a couple of dresser downstairs and I do need to clean the closet downstairs too. I will wait this Tuesday or Thursday to go to the furniture store with my husband so we both can choose which one we can agree on. Whenever we go to furniture store I am still mesmerized by modern furniture but for some reason I always end up getting the traditional styles! Traditional style furniture has it’s timeless distinction. I will definitely upload the picture before Friday and I am very happy with my new bed and the new mattress too~

I have been cleaning all day since my bed will be here next week and tomorrow my daughter’s teacher will be here for home visit and the contractor will come by again for another estimate since we want to add a new window for the bathroom. Well, we are really doing the bathroom renovation but the contractor said that they might start on May or June ! I know it seems long but I’m pretty sure they are busy since they have a A+ rating in BBB you cannot beat that! I waited for how many years and I’m sure I can wait for couple of months I just want it to be done! We have a lot of projects that needed to be done but at least we already contacted the contractor for the bathroom, we already purchased an extra life insurance since we have been talking about this for forever and hubby already put out a vacation leave for this coming summer.

Anyway, this year is going to be exciting since Shaun will be going to Middle school and in fact, tomorrow night we are going to register and to go to a tour. Of course it is not yet an open house for them that will happen probably on August before school starts. We are also excited for my daughter to go to Kindergarten:) Oh I really want a job this year but I haven’t made up my mind if I will go to school or just get a job! Honestly going to school is a very good idea but it is also expensive. I know that applying for a grant is too much hassle but I guess if I really want to go back to school I should try at least getting one!

I was cleaning my daughter’s room the other day and I think that I need to change her picture framed in her room to a bigger size and I want to find a poster printing site to make it happen. I may even go to a photo place and have it done, I don’t know but I already know which picture to choose. It’s the one that was taken on the 4th of July which has a dark background and she was wearing a pink blazer and skirt. She looked so cute in that one and it’ll look good in poster size I bet.

She is growing fast and I really like how we became closer than before. She always say that I am her best friend and that she will never leave me . Let’s see about that when she turns 16 but I really hope that our relationship will never change and that she will come to me and tell me everything . Mother’s are supposed to be their daughter’s/ son’s best friend because we love them unconditionally, we are the people who will always be there for them no matter what and that we will never turn our backs away from them! So hopefully they will always remember it!

So since I am online, I will post as much tags I have in my e-mail because I am not sure when can I hog the computer as much as today so, I checked my saved messages in my email and found another from Hannah Banana of Pasilville (hehe) and I found this one that is somewhat interesting to me and this one is called 7 T. Use a word that starts with letter T to describe you or what you want or have done today and T for THE is not acceptable! Who counts T for THE anyway? Well, let me see if I can do it…

I like reading TABLOIDS but I prefer reading the current events in the world means, I rather hear pure facts than rumors!
I can speak TAGALOG but my native language is Visayan but I have to use my preferred language which is English since this is what I use in everyday conversation.
My friend kept talking about thermogenic fat burners and I don’t even know what’s the difference between that and the regular fat burners. I wonder is it because the word THERMOGENIC?
TAKE OUT FOOD is easy to get but it can definitely dig a hole in my pocket as much as it can double my double chin!
I sometime’s wonder what it’s like in TASMANIA. I wonder if there is any TASMANIAN DEVIL who lived in there?
I missed eating TEMPURA but I don’t like going through all the hassle just to make one!

I really love today because I get to hog the computer as much as I can and I don’t need to clean so the latter reason is the best part ever! Tomorrow will be a different story since I will go back to my regular routine and even though I whine almost every minute I clean but I have to admit I like the outcome of it! Nothing’s better than a clean house and fresh linens! I’m telling you it’s one of my favorite thing in the world is that after I slave my self all day and at the end of the day, I can lay my big head on a fresh pillow case , my mouth will shut right way with a weird smile showing! This upcoming week, I will prepare myself for grunting and lifting and I might also have some treatment of hemorrhoids handy because I will be clearing my basement! That means I will have to toss out our 8 yr. old couch & an old coffee table away! Also I need to move some of the stuff that my husband stored downstairs! I don’t know why he can’t just toss it in the garage somewhere because now, I will be the one who will be breaking back to move those stuff again! isn’t it so annoying when you get to clean after men?

I recently deactivated my account in Facebook because I want to be able to focus on other things around my life than playing FB’s Games applications. Yes I was hooked in playing there and won’t get stuff done around my house, I am embarrassed to admit but it is the truth. Plus I need the time to clean my basement with the moving and I need not to be distracted by it. Anyway, I noticed today that I have some stubborn blackheads in my face and it really annoys the heck out of me. I really wish that I have the blackhead extractor so I can finally get rid of it instead of squeezing the heck out of me and now I looked like a certain reindeer with a red nose! Anyway back to my deactivated account, I might reactivate it once again when I finish everything that I need to do but for now, I have to stay away from it.
