I reset my computer into it’s factory setting and I by the way thank Dell for sending me a new copy of installation disk. It is supposed to be pre-installed in the computer and well my computer has been a pain in the buttocks for a couple of years and I don’t think I saved it on a disc and I badly needed one and requested it and got it and now it’s back to normal again.

After the restoration, I went ahead and downloaded all the stuff I needed back to the computer but my editing software didn’t load. I thought it was the hard drive and I even went to check on the device manager to see if I deleted the necessary files and it was fine. I found out that there is a little chip in the middle of the disc so that’s probably it and I even contacted the company see if I can just activate the trial using the serial I have in the box and apparently I can’t because the trial has it’s own serial # and they gave me some specific direction on how to copy the files and I used my son’s laptop to do it but same thing both vista & xp couldn’t read the disc and I tried putting it in the Windows 7 comp. we got and it worked! I copied the files and I still haven’t load it in my vista since I am too lazy to do it at this moment but I guess the problem is not the disc it’s the computers! I can’t say it’s outdated coz I installed all the current updates but it is kinda outdated because both the laptops and the vista comp. are quite old but I guess Windows 7 does more! I need to send an email back to the editing company to tell them problem is solved…by windows 7′s capacity to run chipped disc! Who knew! Well it worked on mine but that doesn’t mean that it’ll work on yours.!
