Elena's CheeseSteak


It's been a long time since I posted any recipes here! I get tired posting but not tired of cooking!I always remember to take a picture everytime I make up new recipes. Of course Philly cheese Steak has been a round for quite sometime but this is my own version of Philly Cheese Steak. I was confused of what to cook and has been wanting philly Cheese Steak but too lazy to go to Da Vincis and honestly it's a bit expensive to buy fast foods, so I grabbed what ever in my pantry and started making my own! I named this Elena's Cheese Steak just because my little girl was helping me make this yummy meal! Try this,enjoy and let me know how it turn out for you. And as always i can't give u exact measurement because I dont' usually measure the stuff I just eyeball it all! Direction is below the Slideshow!

Elena's Cheese Steak


Ingredients:
3 lbs. of steak ( jerky Style) chopped into pieces
1 large onion, sliced
6 hoagie buns/french bread
12 swiss cheese cut into halves
pepper, salt, savory herb and garlic powder about a tsp. each.
Worcestershire Sauce about 3-4 pours
Dry Sherry about 2 pours
1 beef cube
1 stick of butter for cooking.
ranch sauce for condiments and fries for side.

Procedure:

1. Melt butter and fry onions until translucent.
2. Transfer onions to platter.
3. melt another butter and add meat.
4. Cook until brown.
5. Transfer meat to platter,draining liquids and melt another butter.
6. Return meat to pan and add onions and Worcestershire Sauce and Stir.
7. Add beef cube and cover beef cube with meat until dissolve and stir.
8. Stir meat and add sherry, salt & pepper, garlic powder, savory herb.
9. Stir together and cook for another 5 minutes in low heat. And turn heat off.
10.Meanwhile deep fry some fries and prepare hoagie buns and pan with foil.
11.Preheat oven for 350.
12.Slice hoagie buns and put meat in dividing in 6 hoagies.
13.Fold Swiss cheese and add cheese in both sides of bun.repeat in every bun.
14. When done, put buns in foiled pan and heat cheesesteak for about 12 minutes or until cheese are melted. Don't over cook! Keep watching.
15.Take from oven and let it cool for a min.
16.Transfer to individual platter and Add ranch sauce if desired.
17.Serve with your choice of side. I like to serve it with fries.
18. Sit and enjoy your meal!

Chili

i love eating chili although sometimes it gave me gas lol but man Chili is soooo good especially during cold season! Anyway, here's my Chili recipe enjoy!!

*** Chili***
Ingredients:
2 lbs. ground beef
2 tbsps. salt
2 tbsps.Cumin
2 tbsps. Oregano
2 tbsps. cayenne pepper(optional)( only if you like it spicy)
2 cloves finely chopped garlic
2 tbsps. paprika
2 tbsps. masa
1/2to 1 cup chili powder
2 cans red kidney beans/northen beans or whatever beans u like!
2 cans 8 oz. tomato sauce
1 can 14 oz. stewed tomatoes
1 or 2 cans of water ( just use the 8.oz tomato sauce can)
chopped onions for toppers
shredded cheese for toppers
cornbread or cracker
Procedure:
1. Cook ground beef well and drain after.


2.Bring back to pot and add tomato sauce, stewed tomatoes and water.Mix well



3. Add salt,garlic,paprika,cumin, oregano, cayenne pepper and chili powder. Mix well




4. Cover and let it simmer on medium-low heat for 15 minutes.


5.After 15 minutes mix masa with 1/3 cup water in a small bowl and add to the pot.


5. Add the beans and mix well, cook for another 5 more minutes and stir well.


6. Serve in individual bowl and top with chopped onions and shredded cheese, mix well.

7. Eat with cornbread or crackers.

Steak Fajitas

Last nyt I made Steak Fajitas for dinner. You can buy those seasoning if you like, but if your like me going to the store instead of getting what u need u ended up forgetting it and getting something else!Since i forgot to buy the seasoning I went ahead and lok for the fajita seasoning recipe. First i grilled the steaks and chopped some veggies and made the seasoning and man that was yummy hubby even gave up his regular steak for this one.by the way madame KOOKIE thanks for calling me yesterday and here's another recipe for u since u ask me where's the foods lol mwah..Sorry if I get lazy putting on recipes here lol...

** Steak Fajitas**



Ingredients:

Steaks grilled u can have how many u want!
5 garlic, minced
1 large onion, sliced
1 green bell pepper, cut lengthwise
1 red bell pepper, cut lengthwise
3 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
3 tbsp. dry white wine
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
3 drops hot sauce
crushed red pepper
10 Flour tortillas
salsa
shredded cheese

Procedure:
1. Marinade steaks the way u want it, usually I marinate it with Worcestershire
sauce,garlic powder,crushed red pepper & olive oil. marinade for at least 1/2
hour.
2. Grill steaks the way u want it. Cut into strips when done.Set aside.
3. Sautee the veggies until crisp-tender,don't over cook. Set aside
4. Place grilled-sliced steaks onto the same pan and add Worcestershire sauce, white
wine, garlic powder, hot sauce & crushed red pepper.
5.Toss Steaks until mix well. Transfer to dish.
6.In serving you fajita, place couple of strips of meat and veggies, put whatever
condiments u like usually shredded cheese, sour cream and guacamole but my sour
cream was expired lol!! so i didn't put any sour cream or guacamole.
7. roll like a burrito enjoy your meal!!!

Egg Meatball

I tried this recipe a while ago for our dinner and it's just like meatball but there's egg inside:) I altered some ingredients for more taste! My family loved it!!!this one is yummy try it :)
*******Egg Meatball*******

Ingredients:

6 hard boiled eggs

1 lb. ground beef/ground pork/ground turkey

1carrot, diced

1 Chinese celery/kinchay or regular celery is a substitute, chopped

1 egg, beaten

1 small onion, chopped

Salt and pepper

Flour for coating

Bread crumbs for coating

3 eggs, beaten

Procedures:

1. Mix ground beef, carrots, celery,onion and 1 beaten egg, season with salt and pepper.

2.Wrap the hard boiled egg with the meat mixture and form like a ball.

3.Dip egg covered with meat mixture in flour, then dip in beaten egg and roll in breadcrumbs.

4.Deep-fry until cooked through temperature should read 170*F.

5. Serve w/ rice . I love it with ketchup mixed w/ hot sauce! lol
