Asking for Help

There are some things you should ask for help on. Plumbing in your house is one and bank card processing is the other, if you have no idea what you’re doing. There’s something to be said for being independent but it doesn’t do you much good to be independent to the point that you’re shooting yourself in the foot and that’s what my business partner did from the get go. I wish he had let me know upfront that he didn’t know what he was doing before he led us all down the wrong path and it took two weeks to clean up his mess even after he was gone. I know it’s silly but I just trusted the guy since we’d known each other since childhood but it’s like they always say, don’t do business with friends. It’s just a bad mix and I was really reluctant to question him at all because I didn’t want to mess up our friendship. But now things are back to normal at work and at home.

It is almost Thanksgiving and I have been planning to go to the grocery store nearby because they are having a sale buy a ham and get 12 lb. turkey for free! It is a good deal and Thanksgiving is coming so it will be wise for me to go and grab it before it’s over!
And today is Saturday and here is my Saturday 9′s How Long entry:
1. Have your discovered a betrayal? If so, did you ask, “How long has THIS been going on”?
* Yes.. and no I didn’t ask I’m just glad I found out!
2. What is the longest line you’ve ever stood in? Would you do it again?
*Haha Black Friday sale have you seen the line? and yes shamefully, I will do it again!
3. Someone has hung a sign around your neck, and you have to wear it all day long. What does it say?
*Give way to rude lady–don’t ask!
4. As the Christmas season approaches, what song is it that you just can’t wait to hear?
*Jingle Bell rock! I like the beat♥
5. What Christmas song do you dread to hear?
*Grandma got run over by a reindeer–this song is stupid and annoying!
6. How often do you read the last chapter of a book first?
*almost all the time but I have been restraining myself when I read the series of books that I have been following– it’s very hard for me!
7. Do you have a favorite movie that you just love to see each year during the holidays?
*The Holidays? not really.. well when i was younger my family would play Ten Commandments every Christmas! I have no idea why and my husband wants to keep watching The Christmas Story every Christmas! it’s his favorite not mine!
8. Do you enjoy winter in the area that you live?
*Yeah right! if I could stay away? I’ll run away & stay away FOREVER!
9. At holiday I think we all show more kindness. In your opinion, is this a “concept” that has value (like money or other tangible things) or does it exist as simply emotion? Why?
*It is true I guess for the sake of Christmas Hypocrisy is a must!

Prepared

We talked about it and finally my hubby got a life insurance for the both of us from his work but I also want to get my own as an additional Wholesale Insurance. I know that some people think this is unnecessary but we don’t know what’s ahead of us and it is better to be prepared and having a life insurance really helps if something really does happen. I mean people made living will and college plans and life insurance fits around those lines, preparing what’s in the future right?

Bathing

Ever since we got back from vacation my kids had been a fan of bathing! I let them have some fun with the bubbles and jets but I only let them soaked for 30 minutes because prolonged bathing with bubbles can hurt them..well according to what I read and heard. Anyway, this year we are going to be tight when it comes to our budget since we will be needing new AC Unit and a new soffit and fascia.So we need to stop eating out!! We kept saying it but we never applied what we preached but we need to stop it though, we still have our regular monthly bills except for an additional payments for our new car, we have our car insurance, high risk life insurance but the good news is that my car is going to be paid off in 2 more payments so the payments for that will be going to our new car.There’s just too many bills but what can I say huh? Everybody does.. we cannot live without debt and thinking about debts makes me wanna give my self some relaxation to avoid stress. I gotta go give me some aroma therapy bath!

School is almost out and I have some big projects that I have to do before we go on vacation. My husband has to finish the bathroom and also he will have to paint the living room. I do need to clean the whole house and continue to gather stuff that we don’t need and donate it to Goodwill or to the Salvation Army. I donated a lot of clothing and toys yesterday, it was all in our garage and I am so glad that we finally cleaned it out coz we needed that garage for my new baby:D
Since school is almost out, I have no idea if I will be subbing during summer class or if there are available position to fill in but before that, I need to go to the main office and check if I qualify to enroll for retirement since I do not work full time. I do not have to worry about health insurance since I got one from my husband’s work but I do want to know if I can get a life insurance and I just wanted it deducted from my paycheck. Many things I need to take care of before the end of the school year! I am looking for the many days I can spend cleaning my house and hopefully I will be able to finish tending my garden, throw all the junk away and start a cleaner house before another school year begins.

Last Sunday I was checking my e-mails and logged into the networking sites and even browsed about pleasanton motorcycle accident attorney until my husband asked me to get off the computer because he was on his way home from work and he wanted to watch a movie with me that we have at home. We watched Saving Private Ryan and it is one of the best movie ever made! I don’t even care if you will agree with me or not but it is! I love this movie so much and watched it countless times and I definitely will watch again in the future. It is a war movie and it has its gruesome scene but one of the best war movies ever! Tom hanks, Barry Pepper, Ed Burns, Vin Diesel, Tom Sizemore, Adam Goldberg, Giovanni Ribisi, Jeremy Davies, Paul Giamatti and Matt Damon did a very good job on this movie. I really hated Jeremy Davies’ character Upham in this movie and I love the scene with Paul Giamatti knocking off the wall un-purposely and exposing the German soldiers hideout and the scene with Tom Sizemore with another German soldier who threw a helmet at each other when they ran out of bullet lol. The saddest scenes for me were when Giovanni Ribisi talking about his mom while copying Vin Diesel’s letter for his dad and when he died calling out for his mom, Vin Diesel died while holding the French girl, Tom Hanks died and the scene where Matt Damon’s mom was visited by military people informing her about her 3 dead sons. There is too much drama in this movie balances the gruesome action in war and it makes you think about our men and women who are in war at this moment who some won’t be able to go back home and makes you sad on how many moms have received the bad news and how heartbroken they are knowing that they will never see their sons/daughter again:( I wish that they this war will end so that the soldiers will come back home safely to reunite with their families.

I have been cleaning all day since my bed will be here next week and tomorrow my daughter’s teacher will be here for home visit and the contractor will come by again for another estimate since we want to add a new window for the bathroom. Well, we are really doing the bathroom renovation but the contractor said that they might start on May or June ! I know it seems long but I’m pretty sure they are busy since they have a A+ rating in BBB you cannot beat that! I waited for how many years and I’m sure I can wait for couple of months I just want it to be done! We have a lot of projects that needed to be done but at least we already contacted the contractor for the bathroom, we already purchased an extra life insurance since we have been talking about this for forever and hubby already put out a vacation leave for this coming summer.

Anyway, this year is going to be exciting since Shaun will be going to Middle school and in fact, tomorrow night we are going to register and to go to a tour. Of course it is not yet an open house for them that will happen probably on August before school starts. We are also excited for my daughter to go to Kindergarten:) Oh I really want a job this year but I haven’t made up my mind if I will go to school or just get a job! Honestly going to school is a very good idea but it is also expensive. I know that applying for a grant is too much hassle but I guess if I really want to go back to school I should try at least getting one!
