It is almost Thanksgiving and I have been planning to go to the grocery store nearby because they are having a sale buy a ham and get 12 lb. turkey for free! It is a good deal and Thanksgiving is coming so it will be wise for me to go and grab it before it’s over!
And today is Saturday and here is my Saturday 9′s How Long entry:
1. Have your discovered a betrayal? If so, did you ask, “How long has THIS been going on”?
* Yes.. and no I didn’t ask I’m just glad I found out!
2. What is the longest line you’ve ever stood in? Would you do it again?
*Haha Black Friday sale have you seen the line? and yes shamefully, I will do it again!
3. Someone has hung a sign around your neck, and you have to wear it all day long. What does it say?
*Give way to rude lady–don’t ask!
4. As the Christmas season approaches, what song is it that you just can’t wait to hear?
*Jingle Bell rock! I like the beat♥
5. What Christmas song do you dread to hear?
*Grandma got run over by a reindeer–this song is stupid and annoying!
6. How often do you read the last chapter of a book first?
*almost all the time but I have been restraining myself when I read the series of books that I have been following– it’s very hard for me!
7. Do you have a favorite movie that you just love to see each year during the holidays?
*The Holidays? not really.. well when i was younger my family would play Ten Commandments every Christmas! I have no idea why and my husband wants to keep watching The Christmas Story every Christmas! it’s his favorite not mine!
8. Do you enjoy winter in the area that you live?
*Yeah right! if I could stay away? I’ll run away & stay away FOREVER!
9. At holiday I think we all show more kindness. In your opinion, is this a “concept” that has value (like money or other tangible things) or does it exist as simply emotion? Why?
*It is true I guess for the sake of Christmas Hypocrisy is a must!

It is chilly and gorgeous today! 60 degrees and I just love it!I took a day off and will resume to work on Monday and good thing I didn’t get any assignments because the range hood that hubby ordered came in today! We took out the built in Microwave and we are just going to replace it with the range hood and we will also do the back-splash tile in my kitchen (Mommy like!!). So tomorrow we will be a bit busy.
Anyway, We had a couple of fire drills at work last week and the week before that, I really think that it is crucial to have the drills so when disaster happens we know what to do. I also tried the tornado/storm drill too at work but at home we only have one shelter and it is not as safe as having one of those underground shelters that other people have. I really wish that we have something else other than a small hiding closet, it will be comforting!
Oh today is Wednesday and here’s my entry for WTF..
1) On a airplane, would you prefer to sit in an aisle seat or a window seat? Why?
* I like to sit on the front aisle seat that way it’s easier to get out. But if there’s no more room in the front aisle seat, then I will choose a window seat not too many people to go through when I have to get up.
2) Today (Sept. 14) is National Cream-filled Donut Day. What is your favorite type of donut?
*I love glazed donuts, I used to love those Dunkin’ Donuts munchkins with filled strawberries yum!
3) What are the four most important things children should learn in school?
*Read, write, listen and respect!
4) On Tuesday, The CW premiered its new TV show “Ringer” and ABC Family has its new show “The Lying Game.” Both shows are about identical twins who switch places. If you had a twin, would you ever swap lives with him/her?
* Depends if her life is much better than mine! If it’s crappier, then I will settle with my life.
5) Yesterday (Sept. 13) was Fortune Cookie Day. If you could write your own fortune cookie, would would it say?
*Stop wishing just snap out of it!!!!
6) Who is the most annoying product pitchman (or pitchwoman) on TV?
*the shamwow guy & that guy who was at nuwave
7) A new study says over 40 percent of people suffering from symptoms of depression won’t discuss it with their doctors due to fear of being put on antidepressants. Do you tell your doctor about all your health problems?
*Some and yes I am one of those people who doesn’t discuss feelings coz I don’t wanna end up in loony bin!
One of my boyfriend’s friends randomly had a child come up to her in a store and ask her where she buys her underwear. What is the weirdest question you’ve been asked by a child?
*I ask weird questions as well, which by the way I never thought it was all weird so.. I don’t think I can tell which is weird or not.

I did something silly the other day with my hosting and I messed one of my site. I ended up asking the tech support to run the back up and it worked! However, some of the post I posted that day or the day before including my recent post”Installed” was deleted. I was in panicked because I don’t have anymore copy of it but thank God for Cached huh? I just searched my post online and I found it clicked Cached and I got it! I had to copy and republished it. Good thing I didn’t wait another day because it would have been deleted completely! Unfortunately I couldn’t save the comments so I am so sorry if you don’t see your recent comments the back up couldn’t save it either.

Anyway, that picture was taken the day he came home,my daughter made those Welcome Home picture, my two boys made him another poster and I made him a Chocolate Cake. My husband has been working a lot ever since he got back from his trip to Kansas. He’s been busy with school work too but he is almost done with school and then he can have more extra time to devout at home. We planned on paying attention with our deck out in the backyard and he told me that we can do it ourselves, he just need to buy some materials like lumbers, stand-off post anchors,joist hangers,band saw blades, Caulk and some deck stain and finishing products. We could do this ourselves but roofing? we have to hire people to do it because I won’t even let him try to do it. We will leave that to the professionals. Owning a home means a lot of work but it is worth keeping up!

We finally have our whole furnace replaced! They replaced everything including the Central Air conditioner unit. My husband said that what we have now is a more efficient because we have something that supposed to run in the winter too. I didn’t really asked a lot of questions because sometimes it’s all confusing to me but the good thing is we have it all replaced so we should not worry about it for a very ,very long time! Plus we got a lifetime warranty for it too so it’s a good thing. We may have hanged our home improvement plan for this year but it all works out… we needed to replace it anyway.
I didn’t go to the garage to take a picture of our new furnace.. to be honest I haven’t seen what the new one looked like but I saw what they replaced outside the central air unit..

Now that is out of the way, maybe next year or the next after that, we can focus on a new roof. It’s going to be expensive but we need to replace it since it’s more than a decade.
Anyway, my daughter found my lost earrings yesterday. I haven’t wear it for a long time and she also found one of her bracelet charm. She took an elastic cord and started making a bracelet. She told me that she’s going to make me one like what she saw online; one of those jewelry fashion trends for moms. She likes to look at jewelry and that it inspired her to get her own beading and jewelry kits.And that gave me an idea on what to give her for Christmas or on her birthday.^-^

Back ‘n tired

We are back from our trip and I am still super tired! We had lots of fun, we went to dinner & a show, had fun with families during 4th of July, we went shopping and you wouldn’t believed how many steel buildings that full of merchandise that are on sale! Pigeon Forge TN is one busy wonderful city! Dinner & Shows, Arcades, Theme Parks, food and shopping are all in sight, Trust me you will never get bored! Though I have to say that vacation ruined my diet that I worked so hard to maintain and sad to say that I gained all 20 pounds back @_@ But Oh well, I just have to push myself more into going back into it.. trust me I am trying to get back to it and so far it is not working so well for me! Wow I am giving myself a negative rebuttal but I’ll see what tomorrow will bring ( hopefully a better point of view in my well being!)

Anyway, I don’t know why I am so tired it’s been 3 days since we got back but I can’t seem to get any enthusiasm especially that ever since we got home there are lots of unfortunate things going on! First the house was in full force musty smell. that is kind of understandable for vacant house, but our central air was not working, our laundry drain was clogged, my washing machine had a leak, our microwave broke all of a sudden after popping a batch of popcorn and to make matters worst?? I got cited for speeding earlier today! Ugh all this mishap is super exhausting! Well, we called some people and the plumber and the air conditioner guy came in yesterday, we had our laundry room drain cleaned, the guy fixed the air but unfortunately we need to replace the whole air and heating unit before winter starts, I don’t need to replace the microwave yet since I use the old microwave we had and for the ticket?? I actually signed for that Safety driving class to waive my points and fee. Although my citation was cheaper than the enrollment fee, the class will freeze the points for my license and also to avoid any insurance bump ups! Whatevs… I have to say that the speeding ticket was my fault! I admit because I sped and I won’t blame the cop for busting me… coz it was his job to punish speeders and I was guilty! I should not be so impatient and always in a hurry. I shall work on that! And I shall work in getting back my energy because feeling exhausted all the time exhaust the heck out of me!

I went to the Ethnic Festival yesterday with my friend and kids. I expected more but was a little bit disappointed with the crowd number and also the quality of the food and as well as fun. But it was an experience for all of us I just hope that next year will be a better one. We went walking earlier and the trail behind my house is a wonderful place to walk because even with hot temp, that place seems cooler and windier because it is elevated. There are beautiful houses there with tiered decks, pools and tubs with hot tub spa covers flapping. I will make it a point to walk everyday in the morning before noon.

It’s the last week of April!! There’s couple of things that I am actually excited of and one of them is my paycheck lol! But come to think of it, next Monday is the 1st of May already! Wow time fly so fast:D I am actually looking forward to vacation days! Yes I’m going to sleep late and wake up late and not worry about anything, gosh I just wrote how lazy I am! I am also excited for my daughter’s first piano recital and my son’s trip to the National Archery. And not to mention Cinco de Mayo! yeah, yeah I’m not Mexican but it’s fun anyway!

Hopefully next month we will have a brighter and warmer temperature and it’ll be perfect to deal with the lawn. I need to move our mower for easy access and I really need to start helping my husband in taking care of the yard. I wish we have greener and lusher lawn but we don’t! We talked about building a new deck but I rather prefer in taking it all out and just make it a porch with natural stones. I would love to go search for the perfect outdoor flooring and it wouldn’t be a porch until I find the right swing sets and patio furniture to go with it. I do wish that we can fix it this year but we planned to have new roof first either this year or next year. We are just torn between replacing new shingles or to install tin roof instead. We finally painted the living room using mistint paints from Lowe’s. I like 2 colors separated with borders instead of just one boring color. And that cute border I bought from Walmart coordinated just fine:D I told the kids to not touch the walls with dirty hands again Coz I am tired repainting everything! Oh fine, I had help from my husband but still it’s nice to have pretty clean walls and that is just one less to clean up around the house huh? I know that it’s impossible especially with kids but a little guidance and occasional ~~yelling~~ begging will probably do the trick!

Okay take your eyes off that clutter that sat like a clutter-bug! It’s all study workbooks and art supplies for the kids and my knitting stuff . I know, I really need to find a place to put those away and then I can get my bench back to it’s purpose and the house will look cleaner ^_^! Me and hubby agreed that if we ever need to repaint, we will get mistint paints! It is like my favorite thing now, the saying “Somebody’s trash is someone else’s treasure” really does apply to moi!

Anyway, I am so glad that it’s 2011 and that means this Summer, I’m getting a new phone replacement and I am attracted to htc sense …HTC Desire Android Smartphone! I love my current phone the Alias 2 but I dropped it a hundred times and it just have to retire in June*_*. Gotta go and fix lunch for my kiddies bye for now!

This is something that I am very proud of, my daughter turned 6 last December and I am thankful and happy that my baby girl is growing bigger and smarter everyday and I am very thankful that all my kids are healthy:D. We went to Lost in Fun and ate at Shogun the Japanese restaurant later that night. We had a wonderful weather that day although it’s Winter but sometimes she wishes her birthday to be in the Spring or Summer so it’ll be funnier.
During the week from Christmas to New Year, we were very busy at home! I was glad to spend the whole winter break with my kids and that we are able to stay with them the whole time. We also done a lot of things like we had our new window treatments, We painted the living room and fixed the electrical issue in our hallway! My husband was into the house project that I was so ready to shop for some pedestal sinks and have our downstairs bathroom fixed! Our next project would be to buy some new soffit and fascia . Also since we have our new windows up, we are going to focus into buying a new roof! Our roof is 13 yrs older and we need a new one. We are thinking about getting a tin roof which would cost more than the shingles but, it’s also more durable than shingles! They told us that the tin roof would last 2x as much as the shingles so that is why it’s more expensive and I bet it’ll be prettier plus I want a red roof so it’ll match my upcoming new red door:D So many things to do but not enough money so it’s time to save! save! save!!!

I have to wake up early in the morning to start the day by doing laundry and also need to work on cleaning my kitchen. I wish that I have taken a multivitamin regularly to keep me energize and also to keep me strong and healthy! I need to clean the house before it’s late coz the windows people will come with a contract. We are getting new windows to replace our old ones! Yes it is expensive but it’s worth the price. We are replacing all our windows and it will definitely raise our property value also this is the last year that you can have new windows and get that 30% in what you pay back when you file your taxes! So it will be a nice amount to see:D. We are taking small steps in renovations and someday it will all be done and worth all the time we spent on it!
