I co-hosted a baby shower/Graduation party for our friends and it really was a fun …
It sure is cold outside! The temp is above 1 degree but the wind chill is like 18 below zero so thats what make it tough. Too cold to be out but, we were out the whole time. Finally filed the taxes, and got my lens replaced and my daughter’s eye exam and she got her first pair of eyeglasses! (:( too young… ). We didn’t have enough time to cook by the time I pick my son from archery practice so we grabbed some fast food and drop my other son to his archery practice. Too much stuff and tomorrow will be as busy; archery, chess & parent teacher conference.
Anyway, here’s my entry for Curious as a Cat meme:
1) What is the longest book you ever read?
*For the series? The Sookie Stackhouse novel…I read all the books. For one book? I don’t really know which one was the longest book I read.
2) What was (or is) your favorite ’80s movie?
*Back to the Future:)
3) What is something unexpected that has changed about you in the last few years?
*My weight:( lol idk if it was unexpected by the way I eat but I never anticipated it:(
4) Show and Tell. What comes to mind first when you see this picture? Or, tell a story if it reminds you of one.
Have a good night ❤️
My son just turned 12 and we had a simple celebration on his b-day. I was glad that my husband took the afternoon off and we went bowling and was able to eat out on his actual b-day. I made his request-Baklava Cheesecake the day before his birthday and he was extremely happy with his birthday gift! Believe it or not he asked for a new comfortable pillow and a fluffy soft throw/blanket. we got him one and I want that blanket for myself. It is sooo soft and comfy–I eventully use it when he’s at school lol ^0^ . I am just glad that my children are satisfied with simple celebrations and oh, by next year? I will have 2 teenagers in my house.

All in all February was productive ^-^
My little doggie scared the heck out of me the other night. She was yelping and we thought, she scratched her self but something weird happen. She looked like she had some kind of a stroke! Her eyes were weird and she lost her balance and she was unable to move her neck and it seems like it was stuck on one side. I was so scared and trust me, I only get scared when I think that someone I love is in trouble and I ❤️ my Sookie. My husband and I were worried but I was more frantic because I was afraid for her, my husband told me to calm down because he can see that Sookie was in panic as well. She was probably confused on what was happening. She did recover after how many minutes but that just left us wondering on what just happened. We searched online and we found something that has to do with Vestibular thingy but it says that it usually affects big type of dogs so it doesn’t apply to my Sookie because she is a Toy Poodle. We may have to take her to the vet but hopefully it will not happen again because it was so scary and my Sookie looked so helpless
I co-hosted a baby shower/Graduation party for our friends and it really was a fun and successful event eventhough we didn’t have a lot of time planning it. My friends made some delicious food for the party; we had some lechon, kilawin, spaghetti, cinnamon rolls, soup nilaga, ensaymada, chop suey, bod-bod or suman and I contributed with some of the sweet treats. I think my favorite dish was the lechon. Ivan did a very good job despite of the cold temp outside.
My daughter helped me with the decorations earlier that morning and she actually did most of the work and she did a very splendid job. Lou and I had a quite adventure when purchasing some of the balloons, we were trying to be frugal but ended up driving into different location. I provided some props for the photo booth and I opted in using real props than wasting paper and ink. I think they liked the idea but I wasn’t able to take a lot of pictures because I was too busy having fun. I am a lousy co-host but with all the talking, laughing and singing? Anybody can forget their sense of duty.
Speaking of singing, Alilie & Ivan had a great sound system! It was expensive but it was awesome. It’s Bose for crying out loud so you know you get the quality for the price you’re paying. I know my husband has been wanting one but I still need to save for it. Meanwhile, maybe I can offer him a behringer subwoofer along with some decent sound system and I will get him the Bose when I can afford it. I just don’t know when ^-^
